A pedestrian was struck in Midtown on July 15 when two cabs collided, sending one of them onto a sidewalk. The accident occurred at the intersection of 7th Avenue and 52nd Street. A cab hit another cab that was traveling southbound on 7th Avenue, sending the second cab onto the sidewalk. According to investigators, one of the cabs had run a red light.
The injured pedestrian, who had been standing nearby with his wife and children, and one of the cab drivers were taken to the hospital. The pedestrian’s family were not injured. There is no information on the condition of the pedestrian or cab driver, and the auto accident is under investigation.
